GETTING TO MALAWI

Malawi has international flights in and out of Malawi. Such flight services are given by Air Malawi, South African Airways, Kenyan Airways, Ethiopian Airways and British Airways. Air Malawi also offers domestic flights, especially between Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu. Tourists can also hire small planes to tourist destinations.

Apart from traveling on air, tourists who are in South Africa, Zimbabwe or Mozambique can travel by land through Mwanza. Those who are in Tanzania and the northern part of Mozambique can enter Malawi through Songwe or by ships - The Mtendere and The Illala. Those in Zambia, through Chipata.
